New Sony eBook Reader - Portable, Digital
The Sony ebook reader has been trying to compete with the Amazon Kindle for quite some time now. They were left in the dust when Kindle had an e-reader capable of wireless connectivity for downloads. The Sony Reader did not. But they are making all kinds of improvements as we write. Here are some features that make Sony different than the Kindle, included on Sony's reader and not Kindles. The Sony Reader Touch has a touch screen, Access to over 1 million free public domain titles from Google Books, Ability to borrow eBooks from libraries and has a Memory Stick Pro Duo & SD Card memory slot (supports up to 16GB). One of the big selling points is that the Sony Readers are compatible with multiple eBook stores whereas with the Kindle, you must purchase your items only from Amazon.
