New Ectaco Jetbook Ebook Reader
The Ectaco Jetbook Ebook Reader has it's advantages over the Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader and Barnes and Noble Nook that may sway some to give this wireless reading device serious consideration. The biggest used to be price when the Kindle was $500, but now Ectaco (price varies a little with color choice) is about the same as the Barnes and Noble Nook, WIFI + 3G priced at $199 and the Kindle 3 WiF + 3G at $189. Although the more advanced ECTACO JB-5B jetBook model is currently priced over $250. The newest Kindle 3 price has been reduced to only $189, and in our opinion, a far superior eBook reader to the equivalent Ectaco.The next big difference is portability. For those who want an electronic book device that is ultra-portable, this would be the one. It has a 5-inch screen and only weights 7.5 ounces. But the screen size, which makes the device small also may be a disadvantage too. All the other ebook readers from Amazon, Sony and Barnes & Noble have a diagonal screen size of 6 inches or more and all weigh more than 10 ounces. It all depends on what is most important to you. Bigger screen or easy stow away? Note that the Ectaco does have 6 different font sizes and several popular typefaces so that you can customize your reading experience.
